Jelani Bauman is a fifth-generation New Orleans musician, with a lineage that includes early brass band pioneer J. B. Humphrey and trumpeter Emery Humphrey Thompson. Bauman expertly weaves his ancestral experiences into his contemporary jazz trumpet performances and compositions. The Berklee-trained artist has toured the world, and moves expertly between the more familiar modern jazz landscape to sound installations and film scores, all the while incorporating his own distinctive horn stylings.
