Day 2 — Thursday, March 5
On the second day of our 2009 Spring Pledge Party, the party was still going strong, with another great live performance from our own David Torkanowsky on his afternoon blues and R&B show, The Blues Ball. Drummer extraordinaire Brian Blade also stopped by our studio during Sondra Bibb's Jazz from the Market show.
Live music broadcasts on Thursday:

Pianist David Torkanowsky has friends in high places – like George Porter, Jr., and Herman "Roscoe" Ernest III, whom he brought into our performance studio to play live on The Blues Ball.

Sondra Bibb had a sparkling conversation with drummer Brian Blade, who's played with everyone from Wayne Shorter and Joshua Redman to Bob Dylan and Norah Jones. They discussed his upcoming Brian Blade & the Fellowship Band album, Mama Rosa and listened to a few tracks.
