There's something just right about pairing the Kinks "Complicated Life", a cut from their 1971 Muswell Hillbillies album, with Preservation Hall Jazz Band singer Clint Maedgen's one-shot bicycle tour of the pre-Katrina Vieux Carré (including a cameo by the New Orleans Bingo! Show).

A word about the video's somewhat unusual provenance. It was shot in mid-2005 but not released until 2007. The song appears on the PHJB's Preservation Hall 50th Anniversary Collection box set from 2012, upon which occasion the video was re-posted with information about the 2005 lineup.
