Aralean Delores Hawkins Porter has passed away after a vibrant and loving lifetime on November 27, 2017 at the age of 71. Ara was George Porter, Jr.'s partner of more than 50 years and wife of 33 years, as well as friend and auntie to many. She was also a mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Our condolences to the family and friends of this wonderful woman, whose actions and life touched the lives of many more.

Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of City of New Orleans, staff of West Jefferson Cancer Center, priest and parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Little Zion Baptist Church (3231 Audubon St) on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10a. Visitation will begin at 9a.
