Last week, I embarked on playing some Percy Mayfield to celebrate his poetic nature. As is often the case, plans changed, so I only got through a portion of his music. This week I fix that. Following Percy Mayfield will be an all out Night Tripper throwdown. Dr. John will be celebrating his birthday this Saturday, so I figured I dig into some tunes as far back as the 1950s and move all the way into 21st century, as Mac Rebennack has been laying down the funky, groovy, desitively Bonnarooviest vibe for quite some time.
