Silver Synthetic is an indie-rock quartet with a blend of psychedelia, country, and pop-rock influences woven throughout their original tunes. Silver Synthetic came about in 2017 when Chris Lyons, singer and guitarist for the garage punk band Bottomfeeders, found himself writing tunes that didn’t quite match that band’s vibe. After some shedding with Bottomfeeders drummer Lucas Bogner, fellow guitarist Kunal Prakash, and bassist Pete Campanelli, the Silver Synthetic project was born. The band played their first gig in 2018 and caught on immediately, developing a fan base beyond their New Orleans home. Their first EP, the 2020 Out of Darkness, on Third Man Records, generated notice by SPIN, Glide Magazine, and other established music press, and their 2021 eponymous full-length album only enhanced their reputation. The band can be found in clubs and at festivals, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and on tour around the country and in Europe.  Check out their catchy, spangly 2023 single, “The Door.”
