The New Orleans Suspects offer high-energy rock and roll ala Little Feat meets swamp rock, and the since their inception in 2009 as a pick-up band at the Maple Leaf, the group has developed a devout following across the country. The Suspects include some of New Orleans’ finest musicians, including CR Gruver on keyboards, the guitar-wielding Jake Eckert (who moonlights as a consummate record producer and a faculty member at Loyola), Eric Vogel on bass, a rotating cast of all-star sax players, and the legendary Eddie Christmas on drums. The band has six albums out, and can be heard at festivals and clubs across New Orleans and around the country.
