Mike Dillon is a percussionist, vibraphonist, singer, and creative force who tours hard and stays hard on the edge of the possible when it comes to musical explorations. The prolific Dillon has played with Primus, Galactic, Ani DiFranco, Rickie Lee Jones, The Brave Combo, and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, among others. Dillon plays with his own band, The Mike Dillon Band, and with a kaleidoscopic set of side projects, such as his current project, Punkadelick, featuring Brian Haas and Rory Dolan, as well as occasional appearances by James Singleton and Nikki Glaspie. He is or has been a member of myriad ensembles, including Garage A Trois, Les Claypool’s Fancy Band, and Critters Buggin’, and the Dead Kenny Gs and Illuminasti (with the creative saxophone genius Skerik). Dillon splits his time between Kansas City and New Orleans, and can be found on tour some 200 days of the year.
