David Boeddinghaus is a classically trained pianist with a traditional jazz soul, accomplished in bringing to life the sounds of classic artists like Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Waller. The veteran entertainer has worked around the world, from touring with Pete Fountain to accompanying Leon Redbone on Johnny Carson’s “Tonight Show,” and as a featured performer in the Louisiana Repertory Jazz Ensemble. He is the long-time musical director and pianist for jazz vocalist Banu Gibson, and has toured extensively with her group, the New Orleans Hot Jazz, including gigs at the Hollywood Bowl, on A Prairie Home Companion, and with the Boston Pops.
