As the sun bears down on Festival- goers, many people start to look towards the misting tents and grandstands to cool off. The WWOZ Hospitality Tent has certainly never seen this much action while I've been here! But I think I did the right thing when I grabbed a snowball from the Plum Street stand and dropped into the WWOZ Jazz Tent to catch jazz supergroup Astral Project, which featured Joe Dagradi on tenor sax (pictured) and Johnny Vidacovich on drums. Their dark and cool brand of jazz really hit the spot, and the tired audience still found the strength to give a nice, long standing ovation — after each song!
