Catch French Quarter Fest on WWOZFrench Quarter Fest, America's largest free festival, returns April 12-15. And since WWOZ lives in the midst of this fest (we're located in the Quarter), we'll be doing a live broadcast, including acts playing on French Quarter Fest stages, as well as artists who stop by the station for impromptu performances and interviews. |

Volunteer Spotlight: Tommy Boehm"I've been a volunteer since 2013," says Tommy Boehm. "I felt since I'd been a listener since the 80's it was time to step up for my favorite station. There's no place else that I find the camaraderie, family and complete group of like-minded people. [WWOZ has] so bright a future that I may need some OZ sunglasses." Well said, Tommy, and thanks for all the hours you've put in for 'OZ. |

Show Host Spotlight: Hazel the Delta RamblerWhen Hazel Schlueter programmed her first show on WWOZ on the second floor of Tipitina's in June 1981, she'd already been volunteering since 1980. "I think I have seniority as a host!" says Hazel. "I enjoy bringing old music to new listeners" she adds. "It keeps the traditions alive." Tune in to her Old Time Country and Bluegrass Show on Sunday mornings from 10am - Noon. |

Recipe: Crawfish Pasta with Cream SauceAmong the hundreds of foods available at Jazz Fest, one of the perennial favorites is Crawfish Monica. We're looking forward to eating some at the Fair Grounds again this year. If you can't make it to Jazz Fest, this is a pretty fair substitute. |
