WWOZ represents everything that is good about New Orleans and South Louisiana. This station not only represents the musicians, songwriters, and producers of this area, but also the people and culture that make us so unique. WWOZ is at the heart of all this: second lines, Mardi Gras Indian parades, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Satchmo Fest and much, much more. It is more than the music and the people, it is the heart and soul of all that makes this city and region great. I support WWOZ because there is no better ambassador of our culture. WWOZ is the voice of our lives. WWOZ is the show hosts, the staff, the volunteers who host and greet and tell these stories to the world.
I give my money and I volunteer because I believe in the mission of this station. I believe that music is the gateway to what is best in all of us. I support WWOZ because I believe there is no better way to tell the stories of our people; there is no better way to celebrate the brilliance of New Orleans."
