Born in Chicago and raised in Miami by Cuban immigrant parents, Conde is a singer, songwriter and arranger based in Brooklyn, NY. His critically acclaimed work with the Cuba-centric band Ola Fresca, as well as his Baby Loves Salsa children's project and many tours and performances have garnered Conde praise for what the Boston Globe calls a "singer-songwriter's trademark whimsy that stretches across multiple styles and is utterly swinging."
Conde's first New Orleans collaboration was with the great Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste, who guested on 2 songs on the award-winning (R)Evolución (2007, Mr. Bongo Records UK). During Jazz Fest 2010, Conde continues the Big Easy collaboration with the founding of Nola Fresca, a group of New Orleans-based Latin all-stars playing Conde's Ola Fresca music.
